CHANTILLY, Va., March 24, 2010 — The Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Inc. has named Citizant president Alba Alemán as 2010 Latina Business Owner of the Year for Fairfax County.

This award recognizes local Latina women who have made significant contributions to their organizations through successful leadership.  Ms. Alemán was honored for her strong leadership in driving exceptional growth for Citizant by maintaining an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction, quality initiatives, employee recruitment and development, and operational success.

Ms. Alemán and other honorees were recognized at the Annual Latinas Mean Business Luncheon and Business Expo in celebration of National Women’s History Month held in March. Following the awards ceremony, Alemán joined a panel of other business leaders for a discussion on the unique challenges and opportunities facing women in general, and Latinas in particular, when entering the business world.
