Industry-Leading Certifications

Mature Infrastructure Is Key to Project Success

Citizant applies a structured methodology to project execution. Our disciplined approach is tailored for the unique needs of each client/project using the best practices validated through leading industry certifications.

In addition to the following company-wide certifications, our senior business professionals remain current in best practices across specialized functional areas and the federal government civilian/defense domain. We incorporate these best-practice standards and techniques, when applicable, to improve performance.

We also have a corporate-wide initiative to ensure that 100% of our staff becomes certified in individual specialties. This includes Project Management Professional (PMP®), FEAC Institute Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework and DoD Architecture Framework, CISSP® security, and other relevant certifications.

Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) for Development Maturity Level 3

cmmi logoCitizant was independently appraised at SEI CMMI ML3 in September 2008, building on the company's CMMI ML2 appraisal from 2006.  CMMI ML3 means that Citizant has a common set of defined and documented standard processes used across the entire company and subject to continuous analysis and selective improvements. The key implication of certification at this level is repeatability, predictability, and consistent performance in the methods and results of our work. The process capability delivers many benefits for customers, including earlier and more effective resolutions of potential defects or variances in project progress against the plan.

The CMMI ML3 appraisal for company-wide process adoption is a significant discriminator and represents a real advantage for our customers.  Fewer than a dozen small businesses who serve the federal government in the mid-Atlantic region share this certification with Citizant.
