Company Moves to 21,295-Square-Foot Space to Accommodate 50 Percent Growth

CHANTILLY, Va. -- Citizant, one of the capital area’s fastest-growing providers of business and technical solutions to civilian and military government organizations, is moving and expanding the size of its headquarters by more than 50 percent to accommodate anticipated growth. The company has signed a lease with B&R 5160 Parkstone Owner, LLC, for a 21,295-square-foot space at 5180 Parkstone Drive in Chantilly, Va. Citizant will move from its current 13,600-square-foot headquarters at 14900 Conference Center Drive in Chantilly to its new location before the end of the year.

Citizant specializes in providing forward-thinking solutions to help defense and civilian government agencies create a better future for the citizen. Citizant’s customers include the Defense Information Services Agency, the U.S. Navy, the Defense Logistics Agency, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Federal Railroad Administration, the Florida Department of Transportation and many other agencies.

“In order to support our customers at the highest levels of quality, we recruit the best people who do outstanding work — and we’re committed to giving these ‘best and brightest’ the right processes, systems and environment to support them in delivering results,” said Citizant cofounder and president Alba M. Alemán. “This move is an example of our commitment to providing a quality environment that will support our team as we continue to grow.”

The new space will support the company’s planned growth. Citizant is actively recruiting for some of the 30 new positions that company executives expect to fill before the end of the year; 20 new associates were already hired during the second quarter of 2007. Also, according to Citizant CEO Raymond Roberts, it will acquire at least one company in the next six months from within the government services industry that will complement its current offering of business and technical solutions.

“We’re considering the people side of our anticipated acquisitions,” said Roberts. “This new space will support us over the next two to three years, depending on how heavily our acquisitions and contract wins impact our growth at the headquarters location.”

Currently, more than 60 percent of Citizant employees are located at or near customer sites. The new headquarters space has room for 50 additional new hires.

This office expansion follows the opening of two new Citizant offices in the Greater Washington area in April and the addition of new senior executives, including the hiring of AOL veteran Bruce Milligan as vice president of marketing and former president of Bowhead Support Services, Bill Breighner, as division president of its newly launched Government & Defense Solutions Division.
