CHANTILLY, Va., March 9, 2011 — The IRS competed its longtime IT services-related suite of indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts, called TIPSS-4 ITS, which have a 10-year period of performance (one base-year and nine one-year options). These contracts are the primary procurement vehicles for technology-related services within the Internal Revenue Service and other Treasury bureaus.
Thirty-three companies from among the industry's best competitors were selected as prime contractors on this multiple-award contract. They will provide support that encompasses a broad spectrum of services from local microcomputer applications to large-scale integrated legacy systems and newly developed systems, as well as security services and program management.
The TIPSS-4 ITS contract is designed to provide state-of-the-art, modern technology services throughout the period of its performance. As one of the awardees, Citizant provides full life-cycle information technology development and support services, including enterprise architecture, enterprise data management, and enterprise application development and modernization. The company has provided technical and program management services to the IRS for nearly 10 years. Citizant earned a seat as a large prime contractor in full and open competition.
