EOIR Awards Citizant $13.7 Million Management Contract

Leader in federal information sharing solutions wins five-year assignment at DOJ

CHANTILLY, Va., Dec. 7, 2010 Citizant, a leader in information sharing and business transformation services for the federal government, announced today it was awarded a contract from the Executive Office for Immigration Review, a division of the U.S. Department of Justice. The contract win with EOIR is valued at $13.7 million, if all four option years are exercised.

The primary mission of EOIR is to adjudicate immigration cases while upholding the standards of due process and fair treatment for all parties involved. Citizant will provide support for the Information Resource Management staff within the Office of Planning, Analysis and Technology. OPAT/IRM is responsible for all office automation and data-processing functions throughout EOIR.

Under the contract, Citizant’s assignments include:

  • Improving project management processes and decision-making procedures.
  • Managing a variety of infrastructure, telecommunications and software development projects.
  • Supporting IRM staff in System Development Life Cycle planning.
  • Overseeing development of project schedules, requirements gathering and analysis of project performance.

In September, Citizant announced the hiring of John Heiss as division director to strengthen the company’s strategic emphasis on federal law enforcement solutions. A former naval officer, Heiss also has extensive prior experience providing IT program management support to large IT systems for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
