| Government IT solutions leader anticipates more growth, chooses real estate broker
CHANTILLY, Va., Sept. 20, 2011 — Citizant, a leader in business transformation and information-sharing solutions for national security and federal law enforcement agencies, today announced that it has taken on another 2,000 square feet at its headquarters office in Chantilly, Va. Since January, Citizant has grown its workforce by 35 percent, with several new programs requiring contractor-site performance.
“For the past year, Citizant has been winning more assignments from new and established customers at an accelerated pace,” said Raymond Roberts, chief executive officer at Citizant. “This new space gives us breathing room to add employees through the end of the year while we establish a strategy for expanding our real estate footprint to best serve our customers in Washington, D.C., and other key markets around the country.”
During the past six months, the company was awarded seats on major new IT contract vehicles — ITSS-4 at the Department of Justice and TIPSS-4 at the Department of the Treasury. Rapid growth is driving the need for additional office space; Citizant has increased its workforce by nearly 30 employees and 20 subcontractors since the beginning of 2011. The company expects to hire another 30-40 people by the end of the year.
Citizant also recently selected Studley, a leading commercial real estate firm specializing in tenant representation, to provide strategic real estate counsel and brokerage services. Studley will assist Citizant with real estate planning and lease execution in the Greater Washington market and across the country as the company continues to add offices and staff. Steven Hubberman, executive managing director at Studley’s suburban Washington office, will lead the account team for Citizant.
