It was almost five years ago.Cairo Corporation opened for business in a basement full of crickets and spiders. In 2001, the company moved to a six-office suite in Manassas. Within two years, Cairo's corporate infrastructure had grown so fast that it required two additional suites to accommodate new staff. The last three months of 2003 saw such rapid growth that staff was forced to share offices, use picnic tables for furniture and conference rooms for additional offices. The time had come for new space. On January 24, 2004, Cairo moved to its new office headquarters to 14900 Conference Center Drive, Suite 500, in Chantilly, Virginia and now occupies 13,868 square feet of office space on the top floor. This is a class-A commercial space with state-of-the-art audio and video communications and enhanced security, as well as a conference room large enough to accommodate the entire HQ staff. We also have an upgraded reception area to welcome visiting customers and off-site employees. We will miss the mismatched carpet, the torn wallpaper in the stairwell, the hot offices in the summer, and the cold offices in the winter, but we are proud of our growth and the achievements of every single Cairo employee, which have led us to this moment - a new home for Cairo Corporation.
